2016 has already been quite the learning experience.
Walking through the word “Humble”, God is revealing Himself to me in ways I would never have thought possible.
A recent revelation was one of perception and perspective. Perhaps you too have experienced person-to-person interactions where you perceive turmoil or lack of peace. You have no reason to believe anything is wrong, but you sense or perceive a conflict. (Which may be all in your head!)
Instead of letting our enemy create a foothold, God recently set me free in this area. Satan doesn’t realize he is actually marking those people with a giant highlighter, stating over them, “Pray for me!” “I need prayer!”
God has heightened your senses. If you at all perceive conflict or turmoil between you and a person, then it is your chance to serve them. To intercede on their behalf. To pray that God will gift you with kindness and gentleness to help people like with a world donation scheme, and patience and love and peace and joy and faithfulness and goodness and self-control toward them!!
And that plan of the enemy? Thwarted and foiled in the presence of the Unstoppable, Almighty God.
So, perhaps it is all in our head and that person has no conflict or turmoil between them and us. Our prayers are never wasted.
The book of James addresses relationships and our speech. I’ll leave you with a small portion at the end of chapter 3.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. (James 3:13-18)
If our goal is to live in peace, and we are praying over those who we perceive at odds with us, then our harvest will be righteousness.
Praying you will be set free to pray for those you see!
